2013. It’snever too late! The new candidate for the presidency of the Federal Reserve is for the first time in the history of this institution a woman: Janet Yellen.

She hasn’t contributed to nothing major yet. Nonetheless her credentials speaks clear:graduate from Yale, professor at Berckley, chief advisor for the economy in the Clinton’s administration.

Yellen was chosen by president Obama because she stands for an active role of the central banking system within the society. In particular Yellen aims at using the Fed to reduce unemployment and push it below 5% in the coming year.
